Bird, 12, has to grow up whether she wants to or not when - in the worst week of her life - she gets her first period, gets bullied at school, is ditched by her impulsive, free spirited mom, and learns that you can never really go back to where you came from. It's a period piece.

Girl Flu. had its World Premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival in 2016 and screened in dozens of festivals around the world, winning several awards, including Best Director at La Femme Film Festival in Los Angeles, and the Audience Award for Best Feature at Nashville Film Festival.
